Barcelona new French striker, Antoine Griezmann has reportedly blamed club captain, Lionel Messi for his poor start to life at the Camp Nou since his move from Atletico Madrid last summer.
The French striker moved to Barcelona from Atletico for £120 million in the summer, but there seems to be trouble in paradise as France football report that Griezmann feels Messi has told the locker room to snub the striker both on and off the pitch and since made it tough for him to perform to the best of his abilities for the Spanish club.
The report also states that Griezmann told his friends that a number of his teammates, led by Messi “are envy of his world cup success in 2018” and that despite such problems he is going to keep fighting against all odds to cement his place in the starting line up and be a huge success in the Nou Camp.
“They cannot stop me. I’m not going to stop fighting, the best thing i can do is put up a happy face,” Griezmann reportedly stated.
Despite his reported unhappiness, the 28-year-old Frenchman has still managed to score 12 goals in 32 games in all competitions for Barcelona and will be looking forward to improve on those numbers.
