Lionel Messi Celebrates his 33rd Birthday As He Reached 250 assists For Barcelona.


The six-time Balon D’or winner reached another milestone yesterday as he assists Ivan Rakitic who scored the only goal for Barcelona in their home win against Athletic Bilbao.

Messi’s 250 assists came at the time it was needed most because recent performance by the players has been very poor and below expectations of the supporters.

Barcelona was under a lot of pressure before yesterday’s game as it was a must-win for them if they want to stand any chance of winning the league this season as Real Madrid continued to pile up the pressure.

After a horrible performance in the first half, they were able to score a lone goal in the second half but the overall performance of the team remained below par.

Griezmann Performance:

The striker was able to up his game a bit last night with some good runs and some shot on target but he was unable to score or me any assists. He was replaced by Ansu Fati in the second half.

Griezmann continues to struggle and his yet to impress the fans following his big-money move from Athletico Madrid last summer.
