Francisco Antonio Machado Trincao is a young Portuguese footballer who plays currently for Braga as a forward and a winger.
The 20- year old made his professional team debut for Braga reserves as an 81st minute substitute in a 2-1 away loss to Fremunde on the 2nd of April 2016. Trincao scored his first senior goal on may 7th 2017 in a 2-3 home defeat to Porto B. He scored five times in 2017-2018, including a brace against C.D Nacional and signed a new five year contract after an impressive run of form.
he was given his first Primera Liga debut in 2018 by manager Abel Ferrira as he came on for Dyego Sousa for the last four minutes of a home defeat to C.S Maritimo.
Trincao scored his first goal for Braga on the 12th of December 2019 in the last group phase game of the Uefa Europa League and also assisting in the same game as they defeat SK Slovan Bratislava as the team advanced in first place.
On January 4, he was given his first league start by manager Ruben Amorim, he scored his first goal in a 7-1 away win of Belenenses SAD, three weeks later he came on as a 50th minute replacement for Galeno as they won the league cup final against FC Porto.
On 31st of January, Spanish giants, FC Barcelona announced they had reached an agreement with Braga for the transfer of Trincao. He would however join up with Messi and Co on July 1, 2020.
Trincao was part of the Portugal team which won the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in July 2018. He contributed with a goal as Portugal beat Italy 4-3 after extra time. Trincao finished joint top scorer in the tournament with five goals, he scored a brace against Norway and Ukraine in the tournament which earned him a spot as the joint top scorer.
At the 2019 FIFA World Cup in Poland, Trincao played all three games and scored the only goal of their opening match against South Korea, though they failed to advance to the next round. He made his first appearance at the under-21 level on 5th September 2019 scoring one and assisted 2 in the 4-0 win over Gibraltar.

The 20-year old will join force with the Catalan outfit in July, after agreement was made to sign a contract until the summer of 2025 with a release clause of £500m.
Barca had been in the hunt for Suarez replacement during the January transfer window since his knee injury in the game against Athletico Madrid in the Super Cup Semi-Finals which rules him out for four months.
